“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.”
The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation by Vestavia Hills authorities.
Hudson was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School and a member of the Vestavia Hills Rebel Football Team. Beyond his passion for acting, Hudson’s life was filled with other loves: his deep Christian faith, his friends, water sports, exploring the woods, traveling, and his affection for The Simpsons, a series he cherished enough to binge-watch all 36 seasons.
Hudson’s acting career began with minor roles in TV shows and short films before he landed the role of Young Baby in Edgar Wright’s 2017 blockbuster Baby Driver. The movie, which starred Ansel Elgort, was a major success, elevating Hudson’s career. He went on to appear in popular TV series like MacGyver, Legacies, and Found, leaving a lasting impression in every role.
